I had a wonderful experience at Pa Lian Burmese Restaurant. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with Burmese culture. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. I ordered the Ohn No Khao Swe (Burmese Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup), and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The chicken was tender, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and all the ingredients tasted fresh. I also noticed they have a Halal certificate, which is a big plus for Muslim customers. If youβre looking for authentic Burmese food in the Chicago area, I highly recommend this place. Iβll definitely come back again!

Had a really wonderful lunch here. The tea leaf salad was the standout for meβsuch an amazing combination of textures, with crunchy nuts, seeds, and crispy bits mixed into the greens. Every bite was packed with flavor and felt both satisfying and fresh. The samosas were also excellent: perfectly crispy on the outside, and the sauce that came with them was so savory and delicious that I could have eaten it by itself. What I appreciated most was that the food felt nourishing rather than heavy. The flavors seemed to come from good ingredients and thoughtful preparation, not just extra salt or oil. I left feeling full, energized, and comfortable instead of weighed down. Definitely a place I'll be happy to come back to.

Drove to Chicago for a day trip and added especially this stop to try my native food (Burmese cuisine! β€οΈ) with my friends and families. Very lovely atmosphere, nice service (it's a one man job and despite it being busy, the man was very attentive!), and most of all, very good and authentic Burmese food! We tried tofu salad, kyar san thoke, tofu kyaw, and rakhine mote thee. Tofu salad hits home like how you would get from the food vendors in Myanmar and rakhine mote thee is really ah puu shar puu (hot and spicy). The atmosphere is cozy with a lot of decorations related with Myanmar. I was really impressed and appreciative of how the shop is being upkeep, even their toilet!!

we got the chicken khao suey and the Kyarzan- Thoke with beef!! refreshing trying a new cuisine, both dishes were complex and delicate and delicious! proof that we demolished it and even the waiter jokingly said βi guess you didnβt like it at allβ they use halal chicken and beef from crescent and no pork in the menu!
